Physical Properties

Hardness = 4 - 5.5;
Shape: Often earthy, or amorphous
    masses
Color: Yellow, brown
Streak: yellowish brown
Luster: earthy, or silky to dull
Description
     Limonite is a sedimentary mineral, and commonly colors soils and rocks. As a result it is often finely disseminated, mixed with clays and other minerals, or found in massive, amorphous lumps. This specimen is amorphous and earthy. The next two samples are more compact.
