Physical Properties

Hardness = 4 - 5.5;
Shape: Often earthy, or amorphous
    masses
Color: Yellow, brown
Streak: yellowish brown
Luster: earthy, or silky to dull
Description
     Here we see a more massive, amorphous limonite. Its dark brown color and varnish like luster are typical, but it is the brown streak that is diagnostic.
