STUDENT/FACULTY RESEARCH IN THE DEPT OF GEOLOGY AND ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE Beginning with the 1991 JMU catalog, the BA and BS degrees in geology require completion of a "senior" research project under the supervision of a faculty member.
