Vanadates; lead chlorovanadate, sometimes with small amounts of arsenic

Color and Luster: Ruby-red, orange, brown, yellow, multicolored; greasy, adamantine, resinous; streak white, pale yellow

Hardness: 3

Cleavage: None

Fracture: Uneven, conchoidal, brittle

Crystals: Hexagonal; usually small prismatic crystals, sometimes hollow; also fibrous, incrusting, compact, globular
