     Fossils, some whole some fragmented, cemented by a spar matrix (crystalline calcite). Most of the fossils are crinoid stem fragments, but favositid (honeycomb) corals and stromatoporoids are also common.
Description
     This image is a jumble of fossils, but in the lower right side is a favositid coral (honeycomb coral). In cross section the calayces (tubes in which the coral lived) were packed together hexagonally. In longitudinal view (seen here) the individual tubes are seen radiating away from a common point where the coral colony began.
