Fracture: Uneven, splintery, brittle
Crystals: Hexagonal; thick to thin tabular, often as subparallel growths or as rosettes; striated; also compact, granular, radiated, reniform, botryoidal, columnar; micaceous(specular), earthy(red ocher)
