Crystals hexagonal short to long
     prismatic; often massive
Green, brown, yellow, red, etc.
Cleavage: one poor across prism
Luster: greasy, vitreous (glassy),
     transparent to transluscent
Description
Looking down the axis of the hexagonal prismatic apatite crystal. Note that some sides are flat with sharp corners, but others are rounded and indistinct. This is typical.
