Fulks Run Outcrop Set One
IMAGE 2 IMAGE 1 - begins somewhere in the Middle Tonoloway
Over the next 14 pages is a mosaic of picture of the Fulks Run outcrop, including parts of the Tonoloway, Lower Keyser, Big Mountain, and Upper Keyser formations. The mosaic pans from right to left, that is, up section as we see the rocks in the road cut.
The pictures were shot at regular intervals all the way down the outcrop, and each picture was shot with the center of the image looking down strike. Because these were shot with a wide angle lens, there is abberation on the right and left sides of each picture. Each picture overlaps, however, with the pictures to either side. Look for distinctive rock units, or tree, or something to orient you on each picture.
Also, images that have detail pictures available have the "Image x" clickable. Or, if you run the mouse over the picture it will become clickable when it "mouses over" the rock with the detail picture.
There is, or course, no way these pictures can substitute for seeing the rocks yourself. The images do not have a lot of detail, and you certainly could not draw a strip log from them. However, if you do have a strip log already, these images can help refresh your memory, or fill in fuzzy memories.
